Serah Gazali is a dynamic leader in the equity space, with over a decade of experience in research, policy design, and program evaluation. As the Executive Lead at the CCGBA+, she builds high-performing teams, forges strategic partnerships, and bridges research with lived experiences to drive outcomes for underrepresented groups.
Serah has led national initiatives like the 50-30 Challenge, which supported over 2,725 businesses across Canada to enhance their DEI capacities. She also helped resettle Syrian refugees, managing operations to support approximately 3,000 resettled refugees while addressing systemic challenges and fostering collaboration across stakeholders.
She specializes in using data-driven approaches and intersectional frameworks to evaluate and improve policies and programs. She has implemented GBA+ frameworks across sectors, ensuring responsive, impactful initiatives. Serah holds a Master’s in Gender, Race, Sexuality, and Social Justice (UBC), with certifications in Strategic Human Resources Management (SFU) and Organizational Leadership (Harvard). Her academic contributions include presenting on self-employment among newcomer women, examining the ethical implications of digital surveillance through social media apps, and presenting research papers on systemic equity on national and international platforms.
