We welcome applicants who apply GBA+ and are committed to serving the public good through science, policy, or advocacy. We value professional, academic, and lived experience.
Members are selected for their understanding of equity and alignment with our mission: advance people‑first policies by applying GBA+ to create inclusive, transparent, and accountable decisions.
We invite expressions of interest from people working across policy, economy, environment, law and governance, health, education, and technology, with a focus on disability, Indigenous, racial, and gender equity.

Community connection and networking
Work in the equity space can feel isolating. You don’t have to do it alone. Meet peers who use GBA+ across sectors and regions. Share what you’re building and what you need.
Co‑create a shared agenda for GBA+.Join thematic communities of practice. Get members-only updates. Take part in webinars and workshops, high-level discussions, panels, roundtables, and campaigns.

Amplification and collective advocacy
Showcase your work and team up on shared priorities. We coordinate light, time-boxed actions such as joint statements, targeted roundtables, and signal boosting.

How membership works
Simple process. Flexible participation. Equity-first contributions.
Eligibility
We welcome people who apply GBA+ in their work or community and share our mission. We look for relevant expertise or lived experience, and a collaborative spirit.
Application and review
Apply online. We review alignment and fit. You’ll get an email decision within 4 to 6 weeks. Accepted members receive a welcome kit and code of conduct
Contribution
Optional, pay-what-you-can after acceptance. Typical annual contributions: 60, 180, or 300 CAD, or any amount including 0. Contributions support coordination, access, and small honoraria.
Participation
You set the pace. Join when it fits your time. Examples include sharing a resource, joining a discussion, taking part in a 60 to 90 minute roundtable, co-authoring a piece, speaking on a panel, or helping host a circle.
We keep our spaces welcoming, respectful, and accessible. We listen. We invite contribution at your pace. We celebrate the work you do and the communities you serve.
