The journey toward equity is a continuous practice, not a destination. To move the needle on systemic change, we need more than just theory, we need a collective space to sharpen our skills.
The GBA+ Knowledge Hub is our central home for learning, growth, and community. It is a resource-rich environment designed to support both individuals and organisations as they navigate the complexities of intersectional analysis in the real world.
Why This Hub Exists
Too often, we treat GBA+ learning as something we complete. A session ends, a resource gets read, and then we return to roles where the real questions show up in relationships, trade offs, and daily decisions. Without a place to practise together, knowledge remains something we know rather than something we do.
This Hub creates continuity. It supports practitioners to test ideas, learn from real examples, and strengthen their approach in community. Over time, the work becomes clearer, more confident, and more connected to the people and relationships it is meant to serve.
How the Hub Works
The Hub serves as a dynamic bridge between our participants’ Lab, research and the broader community of equity practitioners across Canada.
A Repository of Knowledge: We share tools, articles, and outcomes grounded in practice. These resources reflect what has been tested in real contexts, including lessons learned that help teams strengthen design decisions and avoid common pitfalls.
A Community of Practice: We convene gatherings for GBA+ practitioners. These are working spaces where members surface real challenges, exchange practical approaches, and strengthen their application of intersectional analysis.
Continuous Learning: The Hub offers workshops, self paced modules, and facilitated deep dives. Whether you are an individual practitioner or part of a team, you build the analytical capacity to apply GBA+.
Engage with the Hub
Let’s meet you where you are in your GBA+ journey. Whether you are looking for a quick resource or a long-term community, there is a place for you here.
Join the Community of Practice
If you are a practitioner working in equity, diversity, or policy, join our convening sessions. Share your challenges, learn from peers, and contribute to the collective advancement of equity.
Stay informed when we release new outcomes or tools. Our updates ensure you are always at the forefront of intersectional practice and systemic insight.
The Hub makes GBA+ a lived practice rather than a one time learning experience. This strengthens decisions, deepens relationships, and supports systems that respond more effectively to the diverse realities of people across Turtle Island
Greater Clarity in Application
Practitioners move from abstract understanding to consistent, structured use of GBA+ in real scenarios.
More connected practice across sectors
Knowledge flows between organizations instead of staying siloed. Lessons learned in one context strengthen another.
Sustained learning over time
Equity work becomes an ongoing discipline. Skills deepen. Reflection becomes routine. Growth continues beyond a single workshop or resource.
