Adan Sallow is a nonprofit leader with 35+ years of experience in refugee resettlement, disaster relief, and community engagement. As a Board Director, he helps ensure governance decisions reflect the needs of racialized, newcomer, and refugee communities.
With a background in communication and journalism, along with a Higher Certificate in Communication in Health Education, Adan has led initiatives such as the Somali Youth Empowerment Project and brings extensive experience in advocacy, public engagement, and strategic outreach. He specializes in culturally responsive engagement, ensuring community voices shape decision-making. His expertise in policy oversight, public advocacy, and partnership development strengthens collaboration with stakeholders and supports equity-focused governance. Dedicated to equity and social justice, Adan advances the CCGBA+ inclusive governance and strategic planning.
